A blind sees a rare plant

A plant stretches up through other smaller weaker grass toward the sky. It is about a foot tall and a deep shade of green. Lighter green spike like fuzzy prickers stem from the base of the plant and reach their way up toward daylight also. At the top of the plat larger leaves begin to blossom out and over the stalks side like plumage or a wing span. Above these are the plants crown. Orbs about one inch tall in the shape of mini green footballs stand straight up. They themselves have spikes coming out of them making them look like tiny porky pines or miniscule cacti. The prickers have jutting out of them small white hairs that look deceivingly soft.
